Cabbage Roll Casserole

Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
½ cup chopped onion
½ cup uncooked white rice
1 - ¾ pounds (medium head) chopped cabbage
½ of 29 ounce can tomato sauce
½ 14.5 ounce can beef broth
½ 28 oz can diced tomatoes

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F°
In a large skillet, brown beef over medium heat until redness is gone. Drain off fat. In a large mixing bowl combine the onion, tomato sauce, cabbage and rice. Add meat and mix all together. Pour mixture into a large baking dish (or two medium baking dishes). Pour broth and tomatoes over meat mixture, cover and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Stir, cover and bake for another 15-30 minutes or until cabbage is tender.

Serving Suggestions
To spice up the recipe, add herbs such as garlic and oregano. Double the recipe and freeze half for another meal.
